Pruthvi Mangiri

Pruthvi is a 1st DAN Karate Black Belt holder in Okinawa Shorian- RYU Karate Do India International. He has been learning Karate from the age of 6 and has performed in several state and national level tournaments. At the age of 15, he realized his passion for music and decided to learn drums/percussion. Pruthvi has been playing drums since 2010. As he was a self taught drummer, he initially had a tough time learning through YouTube and other online platforms. Later, he started his training under artists like Abhinav Yogesh of Inner Sanctum who is also currently endorsed by Soultone Cymbals.
During his pre-university education, Pruthvi wanted to take his passion for drumming to the next level and formed the band "Quarter Fret'' with his friends. They have performed at several college fests and he has been awarded best drummer. He was facing some challenges to practice drumming as there were not many jam pads in Bangalore. So, he designed a sound proof, acoustically treated jam-pad called "Bread & Jaam" Studios in Bangalore Karnataka India. The studio was a great success so he decided to rent it out to other musicians and bands.
As his passion for drumming grew stronger, Pruthvi ventured out to be a full time musician after completing his degree in Mechanical Engineering. Currently, he plays genres like Metal, Hard Rock, Soft Rock, Blues, Pop, etc.
Currently he plays for 4 bands in Bangalore:
Kannada Hard Rock/ Metal band, "Naik and The Jois Project", pop band K&UI (Kaushik & the Unassumed Identity) , and Indie Rock and Bollywood fusion for "Kalpanik Theory"
