Josue Copete

Josue Copete was born on January 12, 1989 in Cartagena, Colombia. He first started playing drums at the age of 15 years old, where he was inspired and influenced by worship music at the church where his parents currently pastor. He basically taught himself. During his high school years, he played for local Rock bands.

In 2009, he moved to the United States to study. At the same time he met former friends, Juan Daza and David Daza, and form a band later called, Alpha Union.

With their first album recorded, in 2010, they began touring around the United States and South America, and become known as a formal Christian rock band. Today, their music is available through various online stores; ITunes being one of them.

He is continually learning new techniques and updating himself with the widely known drummer, who for over 35 years has played all over the world and has recorded in many CDs with various artists; Alberto Vargas.

Copete currently serves as a drummer at King Jesus Ministry church in Miami, Florida. His functions include playing in the praise and worship band during the services, which are streamed lived via the Internet throughout the U.S, South and Central America, as well as recorded for broadcast on the Enlace/TBN, Daystar cable networks and the Univision television network. These church services are streamed live via the internet four times throughout the week reaching the U.S, Mexico, Central and South America, and around the world to millions of other people. He also tours with the church’s band in other towns with their pastor, the widely recognized Guillermo Maldonado.

He uses a Yamaha Tour Custom Drumset, Soultone Cymbals, and Vater Drumsticks.
