Jonathan Amoe

Anthony Orio & The Goodfellers/Independent

Jonathan Amoe has been wowing audiences since he first took the stage at the tender age of 9. Since then, he has worked in countless bands with some of Metro-Detroit’s most highly respected musicians, and done an extensive list of studio work with various local projects.
Influenced by the likes of John Bonham, Vinnie Colaiuta, Buddy Rich, Todd Sucherman, Elvin Jones,Thomas Pridgen, Steve Jordan and David Garibaldi (to name a few), Jon brings an eclectic mix of all styles to his playing. Be it Rock, Country, Swing, Jazz, Pop, Funk or R&B, Jonathan has worked professionally with all styles and shows he knows how to lay it down.
He first picked up the sticks at the age of three, but rediscovered them at age 8 and fell in love with the drums all over again. Without any lessons, Jon taught himself how to play many styles and began performing with his father, Rob Amoe.
Recording at Harmonie Park Studios in Detroit with his father’s rock band “KAOS” at the age of 10, was when Jon realized that music was it for him. Now at 18, not much has changed. In November 2013, Jon made the move to Nashville, Tn. Jon now tours 250 dates a year from Toronto down to Panama City, Florida and everywhere in between, consistently bringing showmanship, talent, dynamics, musicianship and a whole lot of passion to every gig.
With well over 2000 shows under his belt, Jon continues to show he is a true professional and a definite force to be reckoned with. Performing currently with high voltage country rocker Anthony Orio, Jon has made a name for himself on the Nashville touring circuit.
