Johnny DeGood was born and raised most of his life in Southern California. He began playing the drums at age 13 when a car accident left him unable to pursue athletics in High School. His interest in drums continued throughout high school, college and presently.
Many drummers have influenced his eclectic style such as: John Bonham, Chad Smith, Ray Luzier, Thomas Pridgen, Jimmy 'The Rev' Sullivan, Tommy Igoe, Nick Menza, Joey Jordison, and many more. His ability to learn quickly and play any piece by ear has made him am asset to many bands. Johnny has had the opportunity to share the stage with many acts including: Korn, Starset, Suicide Silence, Black Label Society, Mudvayne, and more.
He has had the chance to perform and tour with many bands from different genres such as: Wishtribe, Dark From Day One, Fire to Reason, Driving Sidewayz, Harness, and Unmundane. Each of these bands has helped shape his drumming.
Johnny is currently endorsed by Soultone Cymbals and Silverfox Drumsticks and uses Sonall Percussion, Gorilla Snot, and Pinch Clip products.
