John Daniels

Echofuzz

John was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 14. He started playing drums in grammar school and quickly learned that music was going to be his life. He started his first garage band in 7th grade. He played rock n roll cover songs at school dances, parties, county fairs and became a local favorite at bars and night clubs where the band had to sneak in back doors due to their young age.

Through high school and college, he continued to develop his playing style and was part of more than a few bands. Learning to play cover songs of his favorite drummers and influences while writing original music took much of his time. Playing original rock music emerged as his true passion and the search was on to find the right group of musicians that shared the love of straight up hard hitting rock music with big screaming guitars, soul, groove and meaningful lyrical content.

In 2006 John found the perfect fit of musicians and friends and formed Echofuzz, a 4 piece band that writes and performs original rock music. The band has written, produced and recorded 2 albums with a 3rd in the works as of early 2013. Locally, Echofuzz has played Phoenix Zoo's Rock The Zoo fundraising event in 2012 and 2013 with attendance in excess of 2,000 rock music fans and the band is in regular rotation on independent Radio's KWSS where they hold the #1 spot on their top rated songs list.
They have traveled the country playing for large and small groups. Echofuzz goes at every show the same way, all out, high energy real rock music. The band is headed back to the Axis Entertainment Stage at the Rocklahoma Festival in Pryor Oklahoma over Memorial Day Weekend again this year. Sharing the bill as a supporting act with legendary artists like Guns N Roses, Alice in Chains, Creed, Megadeth, Chevelle, Rob Zombie, Chickenfoot and many others.

In 2011, John found Soultone Cymbals at the NAMM show in Anaheim California. In John’s own words; “I was immediately impressed with the sound quality and craftsmanship. I had to get these on my kit and really have a go at them. I ripped through a few songs with a Soultone Extreme Crash and I was hooked! It didn’t take long before I replaced every cymbal in my set up with Soultones. Incredible sound, feel, look and durability! I have people ask me about these amazing cymbals everywhere I go and I quickly tell them all about Soultone and the great group of people in the company.”
