Gerry Doot has been playing drums for over 20 years. After graduating from San Jose State University in 2008 he moved to Los Angeles to pursue music as a career. In addition to teaching independently and doing session work Gerry writes and performs with Los Angeles bands Valley Queen and Animal Games. Gerry has recorded and toured with several successful bands including Lunden Reign, Owenstone, Street Drum Corps, Letters Burning, and Phildel to name a few. He has also recorded in some of the most prestigious studios in the world including Abbey Road and Capitol Records.

His current set up of 13” Custom Hi Hats, 19” Custom Brilliant Crash, 20” Custom Ride, 17” FXO Crash, and 12” Custom Brilliant splash have been pivotal in Gerry’s sound as a musician. Those cymbals have been all over the world with him from LA to London. His commitment to quality is displayed in his choice of cymbals and the music he and his various bands have released.
