Latin artist "Freddy Cuba" is a professional Cuban percussionist and producer, who sings and also plays piano. He was influenced by and grew up listening to the music of Tito Rodriguez, Chano Pozo, Tito Puente, Celia Cruz, and Roberto Faz. Latin music has played a big part in Freddy's life. He has worked with world renown artists such as bassist Yorgis Goriecelaya "Elegancia by Night Project" in Alaska, Peruvian pianist, Kiki Sanchez, percussionist and singer, Tomasito Cruz "I Am Cuba", drummer Phoenix Rivera, bassist Victor Miranda, Percussionist as featured in "Mambo Kings" Robertito Melendez, and many others. He also has shared the stage with Christian singer, composer, and Dove Award winner, Jeremy Camp, and another Dove Award winning band, The News Boys. Freddy has been featured in the Today Show, the Alaska Magazine, KUAC Alaska Live with Blanco Diversity Alaska, and the Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival promoting Latino music in Alaska.
Freddy has teamed up with pianist Kiki Sanchez touring and teaching Latin music while promoting diversity through music as signed artists with Blanco Diversity ENT. Freddy's, soon to be released albums, "Groove with Me" and "Vaya AK" will feature Afro Cuban rhythms, Rumba, and Guaguanco; fun and high energy albums. He continues to work as a tour artist for Blanco Diversity ENT and musical director for Lenora Jazz sharing his love for music with the world.
