Drew began his venture into music when he was 11 years old by taking trumpet lessons for one year in school. He then switched to learning to play guitar along with his brother and also tinkered with piano, bass guitar, keyboards and vocals before deciding to concentrate on the instrument that came naturally, drums. In 1981 he discovered “Moving Pictures” by Rush which started a life-long obsession with Rush and proved that drumming could be much more than just a timekeeping role in bands. He started incorporating bells, chimes, gongs, miscellaneous percussion and electronics into his setup which made playing and writing much more satisfying. Drew is self-taught and heavily influenced by the progressive and metal bands such as Rush, Queen, Triumph, Kansas, Fates Warning, Dream Theater, Marillion, Iron Maiden and Jethro Tull,

Drew has played in the greater Cleveland, Akron and Youngstown areas opening and sharing stages with EdGuy, Proto-Kaw (Kerry Livgren from Kansas), Joey Belladonna from Anthrax, Michael Stanley and a myriad of popular musicians and touring bands at venues such as the Akron Civic Theater, Cleveland House of Blues, Twinsburg Perici Amphitheater, Warren Amphitheater, Jergel’s Rhythm Grill, Tralf Music Hall, Akron Lock 3, Bogart's and many local music festivals.

Straight On – A Tribute to the music of Heart is a group of talented Northeast Ohio area musicians who have a love and passion for the music of Heart and aspire to recreate the music as accurately and precise as possible. Straight On’s outstanding vocals and musical versatility personify the richness and dynamics of Heart at their very best.

First Snow is a Trans-Siberian Orchestra inspired holiday show, featuring a variety of vocalists and musicians that bring the gift of music for Christmas. First Snow also helps local schools and charities with holiday fund-raising programs.

Fallen Angel is a hard rock band that covers songs from bands such as Halestorm, Dio, Alter Bridge, Paramore, Heart and is also writing originals.

Ego is an all original progressive metal project that is currently writing for a new album to be released in 2018.
