David Suggs started playing the drums at the age of two at Isle of Patmos Baptist Church in
Washington DC. Since then David has played in the marching band at Barnard Elementary School he
later graduated from Duke Ellington School of the Arts. David went on to play at the Carter Barron
Theater with Earth Wind and Fire and other local bands. David continued to excel playing percussion for
gospel greats such as Donnie McClurkin, Tye Tribbett, Beverly Crawford, Tasha Cobbs, Marvin Sapp, and
Bishop T.D. Jakes. David also played drums for contemporary jazz groups such as InDaCut, and Phase
Two, Maimouna Youssef, New Dimension, and Ihsan Bilal. Current he is playing for Suga Grits, The
Tribe, Tia Dae, DAB Band, Soulful Sounds, and working on other projects for various artist.
David is endorsed with Soultone Cymbals, Yamaha Drums and Vater Drumsticks. David is
currently working on his own project and continues to pursue his musical career.
