ARTURO RAMÍREZ

Arturo Ramírez is a Venezuelan drummer, percussionist, and audiovisual artist with over 20 years of drumming experience. His musical training began at age nine with seven years of Venezuelan harp study under Alexis Rossell, followed by three years of electric guitar lessons with Marvin Afanador, an early, broad musical education that still defines his approach to arrangements and dynamics today.

Arturo first encountered the drums at age 14, playing casually before beginning formal studies at 17. His primary mentors were Emerson Esculpi and Luis Tomás García; this training was complemented by courses and masterclasses led by Frank Quintero and Andrés Briceño.

Over the course of more than two decades, Arturo has built a versatile career spanning genres such as rock, progressive rock, funk, soul, jazz, blues, and Latin pop. He has performed with bands including Edén (progressive metal), Pantokrator (metalcore), Ecléctica (progressive rock), Rock Deluxe, and FunKatonic (funk/soul), in addition to participating in countless live sessions as a session drummer. Since 2017, he has held a dual role in his own projects, working as both a drummer and a producer. He is currently a member of the groups Sinaia, Duett, and Blues Legacy, while continuing to undertake session work and live performances across various genres.

Beyond the drum kit, Arturo is a skilled hand percussionist, specializing in the flamenco cajón and other percussion instruments for acoustic sessions. He brings a producer's ear to every project, a perspective shaped by his parallel career as a 3D generalist and motion graphics artist.
