A Steady Decline

Alex Crockett is 23 years old and was born and raised in Houston, Texas and now currently resides in Southeast Alabama. He's a technical Metal and Gospel drummer that likes to incorporate lots of rudiments and double bass into his style. He realized he wanted to play drums one day when in the 5th grade. He figured out how to make rhythms with his pencils on the school desks. He got his first drum set when he was 12 years old. His first love was marching band and he began his percussion studies in the 7th grade and marched snare drum his 8th grade yr. through his Senior yr. He was Section leader at Dale County Highschool his Freshman year(07) through his Senior yr. (011). He attended the Troy university Summer Leadership Percussion camp his 8th grade yr through his Senior yr., where he was the center snare his Junior yr. and Senior yr. He won awards for Most talented and Best "all around leader" his Junior and Senior year at the University drum camp. He graduated in the Top 10 of his Senior class and went to Troy University on a full percussion scholarship and marched snare drum in "The Sound of The South" for 2 years. During those two years, he studied drum set in his private lesson classes.He currently plays shows around the southeast region with his band "A Steady Decline " and makes youtube videos on his downtime. His biggest influences are Thomas Lang, Tony Royster Jr., Tony Igoe, Thomas Pridgen, Benny Greb, Hatt Halpern, Matt Greiner, Matt Garstka, Adam Grey, Luke Holland, and Eric Moore.
