[Developing a state of the art teaching facility for drummers, musicians and percussion ensembles]
12 days a go I started an Indiegogo fundraising project for my new studio. The building that Iease space from has sold the building and I'm getting kicked to the curb (it's not that bad but I do have to move out soon).I started a search for a bigger, better, more creatively inviting space. Coincidentally, a like-minded creative thinker is expanding our local arts community with a vision of making our city a better place to live, by renovating an old building called the Gear Factory. I want in on the ground floor (basement floor actually) of this new opportunity.

For the future of this endeavor, In addition to my private lessons, I want to offer -

1) parent/child lessons so Dad and son and or Mom and daughter can learn and grow together musically and intellectually.

2) group lessons for several drummers (anywhere from 5 to 15 players),

3) coaching sessions for high school percussion sections, ensembles, and marching band drum lines,

4) my continued services to volunteer for physically and mentally challenged individuals by inviting them to a new spacious, professional atmosphere instead of going on location.

5) 24 hour access facility with no noise constraints for band rehearsals and recording sessions (I'm in four projects at this time)

6) opportunities to sublet my studio to drum teachers, piano teachers, music teachers and musicians who are in need of space for limited use.

7) an inspirational and spacious environment for drummers and percussion groups to rehearse and perform for live shows and recitals.

8) multi-track recording for student demos and auditions as well as recording studio tracks for my collaborations and songwriting endeavors.

9) drum repairs and refurbishing.

10) drum circles and rhythm workshops.

In order to provide all of these services and offer a state of the art studio, so I can provide the most comprehensive teaching experience possible, I need the following gear:

soundproofing/curtains/acoustical tiles etc., shelving, a closet, carpet/padding, new drum kits, hardware, cymbals, sticks, heads, mallets, percussion, paint supplies, mini fridge, microwave, table, 6 chairs (4 in the room, 2 for waiting area), widescreen TV/bracket, PA system, Speakers, powered monitors, microphones for 2 full drum kits, xlr cables, 1/4" cables, mic stands/clips…
