Terence was born and raised in California. At the age
of five Terence began annoying his parents by banging on pots
and pans and showing his beginning interests in music.
Terence
was enrolled in the local music program at the age of eight to
learn to read music and play a variety of instruments. Terence
continued his education throughout high school and college
playing and touring in a large variety of groups such as
concert bands, symphonic bands, marching bands, pep bands,
jazz ensembles, Drum Corps, and stage Productions.
Heavily
influenced by drum and bugle corps and rudimental percussion
he began to apply a plethora of styles and rudiments he
learned to the drum set.
Now
focusing mainly on his drum set-playing Terence began playing
with many different bands and styles in the local area and
some not so local areas including Funk, Hip-hop, Swing,
R&B, Jazz, Latin, Fusion, Country, Rock, Stage
Productions, Industrial, Drum & Bass, and Metal. Terence
also incorporates electronics, sampling, and drum triggering
into his playing. Playing with his current project the Siri
Dyal Band allows Terence to incorporate all he has learned
into one band.
