Gabriel Gonzalez was born February 17 in New York City, but grew up in a very musical household in the Motor City, Detroit.
It started in 1985 with his first professional recording session, and gigs with local Gospel Artist, while still a teenager performing in the Mumford High School Jazz band.
He secured a scholarship to Berklee School of Music and an offer to play with the RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS but
turned it down to finish High School at Night after being on tour all year! “ Gabe” met Legendary Funk Music Icon George Clinton at the impressionable age of 10 thru his father who owned a barbershop. Gonzalez met up again with George Clinton 8 years later at legendary UNITED SOUND Studios in Detroit where Clinton had just Produced the RHCP's second album..
He got a chance to study P-Funk's craft up close from greats like Billy Bass Nelson, Eddie Hazel, Garry Shider, Cordell Mosson, Blackbyrd McKnight, Amp Fiddler and Michael "Clip" Payne.
The group was so impressed with the youngster that he officially went on to TOUR the
World with the band on February 18,1995 one day after his 26th Birthday!
Being the youngest member of the band at that time he took on the moniker from high school as "the Undi$co Kidd" for his knowledge of P-FUNK Music"!

Before that in 1990 Gonzalez founded his own group originally known as ENEMY SQUAD which released a number of "COLLECTIBLE" and "RARE" Out of Print C.D.'s and LP's. Enemy Squad played Lollapalooza, also opened for Bad Brains on their Re-Union Tour, as well as popular bands Rage Against The Machine,Black Eyed Peas, Joe Bonamasa, Legends Buddy Miles, Ernie Isley, Morris Day & the Time just to name a few.

He was Inducted into HOLLYWOOD Guitar Center's "ROCKWALK" with George Clinton & the P-FUNK ALLSTARS on November 21,1996! A few days later he left the band to pursue his own career with his own band and other Projects such as H.R. (Bad Brains Frontman), Ultra Unit feat. Amp Fiddler & local Hip Hop Artist, Legendary Keyboardist Bernie Worrell (P-Funk, Talking Heads) and his group for five years including performing at WOODSTOCK '99, Currently, Gonzalez has been making Music with Legendary Hip Hop Artists K-SOLO, BUSHWYCK BILL, & AWESOME DRE' as Producer/ Music Director over the past few years, recordings on Blues/ Rock vocalist Eliza Neals "Breaking & Entering", Live performances with Bass Player T $ Green & Percusionist Carl “Butch” Small ( Dramatics, Four Tops,Snoop Dogg & Death Row records ), also Bassist Kern Brantley (Lady Gaga, Blackstreet, Janet Jackson etc.) on his "Bass Day" concert series yearly, Kenny Olson (Kid Rock) , Recording with Electronic Jazz Group Malik Alston and the Linwood Ensemble, and Northern Soul Artist FUGI of Detroit Underground Rock Funk band Black Merda. His drumming is inspired by everyone from Papa Jo Jones to Dennis Chambers (who is a close personal friend) as well as studio greats like Yogi Horton, J.R. Robinson, Steve Gadd ,Chris Dave, Prince and many others. Gabe Gonzalez WON "FUNK ARTIST of the YEAR" at the D.B.M.A's, also Outstanding Electronic/ Dance /Writer / PRODUCER at the Detroit Music Awards. Soon afterwards "INTERGALAXATIVE" by ENEMA SQUAD was released digitally. A revised version of the original group, ENEMY SQUAD. Currently promoting Brand NEW single released “Nothing 4 Free” ft. Steve Boyd of Parliament-Funkadelic & Co-produced by Norwood Fisher of L.A. Punk Funk Ska Band Fishbone ,available at all electronic stores.
