Barret Harvey

Barret Harvey

"Barret Harvey began his percussive journey at age ten in Joliet, Illinois. His first drumming hero: "The Muppet Show" house band mercurial time keeper, Animal. He later would refine his musical tastes, studying the techniques of many drum heroes including, Buddy Rich, Steve Gadd, Stewart Copeland, John Bohnam, Mitch Mitchell and Mick Fleetwood.

Over the years Barret has added his distinctive drumming to countless commercial recordings, including ones for Disney, Ford, Nintendo, Coors, Budweiser, Gatorade, NASCAR, ESPN and others.

As a sought after live performer Barret has played in twenty eight countries, forty nine United States and six Canadian Provinces. He has been a part of nearly one hundred albums in styles from Jazz to Metal, and shows no sign of slowing down.

"I've been with Yamaha Drums since 1997 and had offers from other cymbal companies, but when I heard and felt Soultone, I asked them to the prom. I think other cymbal companies chase each other in circles, but Soultone does their own thing. They have an incredible pallet of sound colors to cover all styles in all venues. They record so beautifully I've had engineers ask where to buy them, I've had drummers ask to borrow them and had guitarists just wanna touch them. I haven't had this much fun playing since I was a kid."
