Alexander “Mali” Lashkevich was born and raised in Kaliningrad, Russia. His father was always fond of music, so Alexander was exposed to many styles of music from early on.

At the age of 10 “Mali” was strongly influenced by breakdance and first introduced to funk music.

The enormous funk heritage is still being discovered by Alexander today.

Even if it’s been only 6 years since “Mali” first picked drumsticks, he is now considered one of the most popular and in-demand rock drummers in his town. Joey Jordison, the drummer of world famous Slipknot, was his biggest inspiration. Alex was stunned by Joye's playing and *realized he wants to play / decided to start playing *in the same style / the same way. From that time his exploration of drumkit has begun.

Alexander Lashkevich has played in various bands in many different styles, including rock, ska punk, punk rock, deathcore, funk, hip-hop, indie rock. Eventually he settled with the “Naked King”, a rock band he shared his ideas with - and they are now moving together to their dream. This band is very popular and spends a lot of time performing. “Naked King” has played many festivals both in Russia and Europe.

Alexander served in Baltic Navy Orchestra as a marching drummer that has also influenced his playing.

Today “Mali” is keen on gospel chops and fusion drumming and tries to develop his command of these styles.
