Tom Cottone

Tom Cottone is a NJ based drummer. Schooled at Berklee College of Music and Drummers Collective, he has toured the US and Europe, performed on tv shows, and at jazz and music festivals across the country. Currently he is the drummer for the jazz guitarist/composer Bd Lenz (www.bdlenz.com), who is on the Apria Jazz label. He also performs with electric jazz guitarist , Eric Daab (www.myspace.com/ericdaab) , Brian Kirk and the Jirks (www.jirks.com) and does numerous recording sessions and gigs throughout the NY/ NJ area with artists in all styles of music. Tom was also the drummer in the band The Churchills who toured the US and whose songs have been heard on tv shows such as The Sopranos, Scrubs, ER and the MTV show, Juvies. Television appearances include the Jon Stewart Show, FXs Morning Show, News 12s Jerseys Talking, City Sessions, Homegrown Music and MTV. Other artists Tom has played and or recorded with include Randy Brecker, Mark Egan, Roy Hargrove, Ada Rovatti, Jon Herington, Ritchie Cannata, Jeff Levine, Glenn McClelann, Gary Mazzaroppi, Herb Pomeroy, Hal Crook, Oscar Stagnaro, Scott Kinsey, One More Once, Emedin Rivera, Fossil, Blowup, Eryn Shewell, Pat Karwin, Corey Wagar, The Flying Mueller Brothers, Spiraling, Chris Cheney, Rob Paparozzi, Gina Fox, Dennis Greunling, Joe Vadala, Jerry Topinka, and Electric Breakwater. Noteworthy performances include The Panasonic Village Jazz Festival (NYC), Newark and Cape May Jazz Festivals (NJ), Oswego Harborfest, and Wave Gathering Festival (NJ). He also, teaches privately, and does clinics for Bucks County Drum Company.
