Patrick Garren
Patrick Garren of Jacksonville, Florida found a passion for drums at the age of twelve when receiving drum lessons from his uncle as a birthday present. Patrick spent most of his teenage years playing both drums and bass guitar before finally deciding to focus on his passion for drumming. Playing in various projects, from metal and hardcore to jazz and classical, Patrick branches out into every genre of drumming he can firmly sink his teeth into. He has recently started offering lessons for drumming after discovering a calling for teaching others his passion.
Patrick is currently studying education with a minor in music at Florida State College with the intention of transferring to the University of North Florida in the near future. When he isn’t occupied with school and work, Patrick spends most of his free time practicing, writing, recording, and touring with his band Rejoice the Awakening..
Some of Patrick’s musical influences for drumming are Travis Orbin, Matt Halpern, Gavin Harrison, Billy Cobham, and Nick Crescenzo.
Patrick uses Vater 2B wood tipped sticks, Tama Iron Cobra pedals, and Evans drum heads. He is currently endorsed by Toms shoes and Agape Attire.
