Mario Suárez was born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia, South America. He started playing drums when he was 12 years old, influenced by punk rock drummers like Topper Headon from The Clash, Tommy Ramone and Branden Steineckert from Rancid. Years after, Mario began to listen other kinds of genres which complemented his drum rock studies. When he was 18 he had already played on the most important punk rock festivals in his country. Two years later, his brother, Antonio Suárez, introduced him other genres like Funk, Country, Soul, Gypsy music, besides others. At the same time he had a really strong influence of reggae and caribbean music on his life. Mario has played in important festivals all over the world. On 2009 he participated in the "Venezuela-Brazil Tour" with Desarme Rock Social, playing in 7 cities of these two countries. In 2010 he traveled to Europe with the same aggrupation playing in Denmark, Germany, France, Spain and Italy; the band played in 35 concerts in 20 cities. Currently Mario is working as a live drummer for Hety and Zambo (www.hetyandzambo.net), Nawal (http://www.facebook.com/nawalreggaedub) and Profetas (http://www.facebook.com/Profetasmusic). At the moment Mario is recording drums for Desarme Rock Social (http://www.facebook.com/desarmerocksocial), where he actually produces its music and lyrics with his brother.
