Jermaine Corley

Jermaine Corley

A driven, talented drummer, Jermaine Corley of Charlotte, North Carolina by way of Harlem, New York. Jermaine was born on September 25, 1984. As a small child Jermaine would lineup his mother’s pots and pans around the floor and would use spoons to play on them every day. By age 4, Jermaine received his first drum set for Christmas and began to fulfill his natural abilities as a drummer.

Finally, at age 6, his mother and father noticed and embraced his developing talent and passion for playing the drums. His father started taking him to band rehearsals and with those experiences, Jermaine’s passion for the drums greatly increased. He started dedicating hours, putting together grooves and beats; by that time he felt he was ready to start playing professionally.

At age 10, he played the Congas at his first concert, with Danny Eason & Abundant Life Crusade Choir . By 12, Jermaine started playing drums at his home church Gospel Temple in New York where he played second to his much older cousin. Over the years, he has also played for Bishop Brian D. Moore, Bishop Anthony L. Jenwright, Pastor John Walker, Pastor John Glen Gerald III. Outside of gospel groups, Jermaine has played for R&B artists such as Sixx and Alsoul.

Jermaine influences are great and dynamic musicians such as his father, Anthony Corley; two cousins, AJ Swindell and Lonnie Swindell; Gerald Heyward, Denise Chambers, Teddy Campbell, Aaron Spears, Tony Roster Jr., Dave Weckl, Marvin McQuitty, Calvin Rodgers, Kentric Morris, and his two good friends Eddie Heyward Jr. and Chris Kee.

Jermaine currently travels with Calvin & Friends and does studio work. Also, he is currently endorsed by Soultone Cymbals and Los Cabos Drumsticks.
