Jack English, Jr. hails from the Seattle area where he quickly gained popularity as a freelance drummer with local musicians. His talents caught the attention of the original keyboardist of Steppenwolf who often brought Jack to the forefront of his band to sing lead vocals while remaining the driving force behind the drums. Jack’s talents as a singer and drummer were rapidly being sought by others which brought him to Texas for a good run of touring with several local bands. Jack has now been in the New Orleans area for several years with the highly popular band Voodoo Gumbo. Jack has shared the stage with many well known and respected musicians and opened shows for such artists as Survivor, Styx, REO Speedwagon, Ted Nugent, Loverboy, and April Wine.
Jack is confident with the sound of Soultone Cymbals and refuses to use any other brand.
