Started playing drums at age 11 in the West Wallsend Brass Band drum corps. Joined my first band at 18, Running on Empty playing country & rock classics. In 1988 joined Johnny Greens BluesCowboys and stayed for 23 yrs touring Australias east coast and playing all the major festivals including Byron Bay Bluesfest and Tamworth CMF where we won Tamworth Festival Band of the year in 2000 . Recorded 2 albums. Did lots of session work for a variety of artists in different genres. Travelled Australia on the Brian Young tour in 97 backing a variety of artists. Have been with the Leadbellies blues band for the last 10 years and the Culture Thieves for the past 3. My influences are Russ Kunkel & Steve Ferrone. I play a wide variety of genres in roots music.
