Evrick Lee

Evrick Lee was born December 20, 1988 in Raleigh North Carolina. Although born to a hard working single mother (Felisha Gainey), his grandmother took him in as her own. Helping raise Evrick in the way he should go in life, she kept him in church to only find out his gifts for music were overwhelming. Later in life Evrick began to act on the gift of playing the drums in church. Even though so young, Evrick had an ear for all genres of music. Around the house beating on pots and pans to every melody he heard, his mother decided to buy him his very first drum set.

Years later Evrick began to play for the youth choir at the church they attended after moving to Four Oaks, North Carolina. His skill level began to take force, and soon enough he was playing for the whole service. They moved to Raleigh in 2000 where they began attending Freedom Temple Church. New to the environment, Evrick made himself known to the musicians department of the church. Back to ground zero, he began playing for the youth choir and attending most of the rehearsals on Saturday mornings. Soon enough he was playing for the youth and mass choir of Freedom Temple.

As the years past along Evrick began to play in local bands around the area. He was sitting in at local festivals and In The Park concerts. Evrick was very diverse in the musician’s world. He played rock n’ roll, r & b, neo-soul, gospel, and even Latin music. He hasn’t always sat down on the drum set at these events. He has also played percussion. Soon enough Evrick began traveling the East Coast from north to south playing with different pastors and bands. Meeting different musicians of different states he then began to pick up the different sounds of music other than what he has learned as a drummer. Looking up to his favorite drummers, Aaron Spears and Thomas Pridgon, Evrick knew he had a lot of work to do in order to get where they are today. Now he is networking with some of the big star drummers known today. Evrick has accepted his place in the drummer world but wants to go higher as time progress.
