Chris McCullough

Independent

Versatility is a word synonymous with Chris and his ability to play a multitude of various styles of music. He has been called upon to play styles ranging from the standards of jazz, country, rock/pop, blues, and show tunes. Playing drums from the tender age of 6 years old, Chris has honed his craft over the years to be as musical a drummer as he possibly can. Chris puts his heart and soul into every note and every piece of music that he is asked to play. And if you ask him, he’ll tell you, “I owe it all to the great teachers that I’ve had over the years”.

Being an independent drummer has allowed Chris to play with and for a number of different artists, acts, and styles of music. Currently he divides his time between private teaching, sessions, performing and arranging drums and percussion for the world known Livingston Parish Children’s Choir, and is one of the resident drummers for First Denham Church in Denham Springs, La. Chris has performed with the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra, and Mississippi blues guitarist Leo 'Bud' Welch, along with various other regional acts.

Chris proudly endorses Soultone Cymbals, Vic Firth drumsticks, Kelly SHU, and GorrilaEars in-ear monitors, is a member of the Vic Firth Education Team, the Professional Drum Teachers Guild, and Hudson Music’s Teacher Integration Program, and is honored to be mentioned in Dan Britt's Drumopedia drum method book for beginner drummers.
