Adam Briere

Adam Briere

Adam Briere has been playing the drums since the early age of 5. He was inspired to pick up the drums after hearing John Bonham’s rapid base drum on Good Times Bad Times. After mastering the drum parts to every Led Zeppelin song, he put himself to the test and joined Led Graffiti the Bay Area’s tribute to Led Zeppelin. After studying John Bonham’s drumming he realized how influenced he was by the jazz drummers from the 40’s and 50’s. Which began his journey of studying the drum giants of jazz such as Max Roach, Philly Joe Jones, Buddy Rich, Art Blakey, and Elvin Jones. After studying the styles and sounds of all the great jazz drummers, he was introduced to Soultone cymbals by Bay Area drummer Chad Sylva. After years of trying to find the authentic cymbal sound of the 40’s and 50’s, he finally found that old fashioned organic sound in the Vintage Old School series. After hearing the majestic sounds of the Vintage Old School, he had the privilege of becoming a Soultone endorser. Adam would like to thank Iki and Maya and the rest of the Soultone staff, Silver Fox drum sticks, his teacher Gerry Kennet and his parents for giving him a ride to all of his gigs and carrying all of his equipment at the start of his life long career.
