Gabriel Ferreira is the drummer, co-writer, and lyricist for L.A. modern rock band PALMERSTON and for the beautiful and talented, GYPSY. PALMERSTON,  originally from Toronto, was founded by Gabriel and his brother/ guitarist. They moved to L.A. after the down sizing and the eventual collapse of the Canadian music industry. The band began by playing small clubs in both Canada and the U.S. but their energetic shows soon led to spots in European festivals alongside international acts. The band continues to be an independent act that has now had 2 top 20 hits in Europe. PALMERSTON is set to release an album this year produced by Dale Penner (Nickelback, Holly McNarland).

Gabriel has also embarked on a musical journey with the beautiful songstress, GYPSY.  She recieved a killer write up un UK's RHYTHM magazine (See article to the left).  Gabriel will also be performing with GYPSY Saturday, August 13th on Channel 3 Adelphia station at 2PM.  Be sure and check that out if at all possible.

Gabriel attended The Royal Conservatory of Music (University of Toronto) where he studied classical percussion. He Graduated from The Ontario college of Percussion, where he studied Rock, funk, jazz, and fusion.

Aside from his band Gabriel also does session work in Los Angeles and has performed percussion to trance, jungle, and dance alongside DJ JEB and world renowned DJ Oliver. His performances at raves and dance clubs last approximately 4 hours.

Gabriel has this to say about his Soultone cymbals, "Ever since I was a kid I have always heard that the best cymbals ever made, were 60's cymbals that were handmade and came from Turkey. Most manufacturers try to duplicate that old Turkish cymbal sound with modern day machinery.
